CCTV footage is being examined by Police Scotland officers in an attempt to trace a man seen acting suspiciously in a public park in Carnoustie on Saturday evening.
Officers are appealing for information after the man was seen in Pitskelly Park at 6.20pm.
He is described as being 20-30 years of age, five foot ten inches tall and muscular in build.
He had short dark hair with stubble and was wearing denim jeans, a black hooded top and white trainers.
The man made off from the park on a blue BMX bike.
Inspector Gary Aitken said: “The matter was reported to police by a member of the public who was in the park but we are keen to speak to a woman who was within the park and may have seen the man acting suspiciously.
“She was walking a dog.
“I would like to reassure local residents  we are reviewing CCTV and carrying out enquiries in the surrounding area to assist in tracing this individual.
“If anyone has any information, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number CR/22420/18.”
