Police Scotland is appealing for information regarding a missing person from Montrose.
Yahya Ghassemazadeh, 74, also known as John Cowry, is missing from his home in the town.
Officers believe that he took a flight from Aberdeen to Paris on Friday, October 12 and may have travelled on from there, however he was due to return some time ago and is now overdue.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “While we would normally ask for details of sightings of missing persons, and that is still the case, on this occasion we would like to hear from anyone who may have been contacted by him in any manner since October 12.
“We would also like to speak with anyone who may have spoken with him on his flight or at the airport, or anyone with whom he discussed his travel plans.
“Yahya is about 6ft tall and medium build, with short grey/white hair.
“He is usually well dressed, although we do not know what he was wearing when he left the country.”
Anyone with information that could help trace Mr  Ghassemazadeh is asked to call 101 or speak with any police officer.
The incident reference is: 2416 of November 21.
