A rural Angus road were closed by police amid concerns about excess smoke billowing from a “controlled” farm fire.
Fire fighters were called to Lumley Den on the A928, south of Charleston, just after 3.30pm on Wednesday. A spokeswoman confirmed crews assisted at a controlled blaze on the farm.
Police Scotland said a section of road had been closed off as a precaution.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
Police Scotland are currently assisting with a fire and as a precaution have closed the A928 between A90 junction and Glamis Village due to the amount of smoke in the area. Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area meantime.

The route was re-opened at about 7.30pm.
