A male has been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following an incident in Montrose on Monday.
Police Scotland officers were called to a former fishing hut on Waldron Road shortly before 1pm.
Residents reported hearing a lot of sirens in the area and an ambulance was seen heading down a farm road.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed they attended the scene after receiving reports of concern for an individual and a male required medical attention.
“He was taken away from the scene in an ambulance.”
He added a helicopter seen in the area was not involved in the incident.
He would release no further details at this time.
