An IT consultant was caught with a vile stash of child abuse and bestiality images after a police raid on his home.
More than 1,000 sick images were found on computer hard drives at Christopher Noonan’s home on St James’ Road, Forfar.
The 64-year-old, who works in London, hopes to have computers seized by police returned to him despite his conviction.
Noonan’s solicitor said his client wished to have the computers – one of which is worth over £5,000 – handed back because they only contained three, inaccessible, images.
The offences were committed between September 2004 and August 2020 at the home he shared with his estranged wife.
Videos and images recovered
It was revealed at Dundee Sheriff Court how police had received confidential information indecent images were being stored on devices at the address.
Noonan himself allowed officers in and made the devices available.
Fiscal depute Matthew Kerr said: “At 6.45am, officers attended and were allowed entry.
“The property was searched and a number of devices were seized.
“The ownership and the passwords were all confirmed.
“The officers seized hard drives which contained indecent images.
“A total of 1,392 indecent images were recovered.”
Officers also uncovered six videos involving adults engaging in sex acts with dogs and horses.
Sentence deferred
Noonan was taken to police headquarters in Dundee where he provided “no comment” answers to all questions put to him.
He has now pled guilty to downloading indecent images of children between September 14, 2004 and July 25 last year at his home address.
Between March 28, 2011 and August 26 last year, Noonan was found in possession of extreme pornographic images involving adults having sex with animals.
Brian Bell, defending, said Noonan had hoped the Crown would return the two computers which contained the three inaccessible images.
Sheriff Gregor Murray said: “It sounds awfully like your client just wants his computers back but he’s the one who has put himself in this position.”
Sentence was deferred on Noonan until January for reports to be prepared.
He placed on the Sex Offenders Register and his bail order was allowed to continue.
