A perverted Aberdonian made sexual noises while a dog licked “around his genital area” in a Dundee park.

Samuel Walker was sentenced for breaching the peace when he appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court.

On March 21 last year, Walker shouted and sang songs containing sexual lyrics at Dundee’s Dudhope Park, while he was in the presence of children.

Still within the park, the 30-year-old began making “noises of a sexual nature” while a dog licked “around his genital area.”

Walker, of Aberdeen’s Lewis Road, was placed under supervision for a year and a half by Sheriff John Rafferty.

Surgeon hunt

An award-winning military surgeon who battered his wife and a child in Dundee is being sought by police after fleeing to the Middle East. Dr Firas Bakri was granted bail after admitting a domestic assault and an attack on a 13-year-old girl. Businessman Bakri failed to appear for sentence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Dr Firas Bakri.

New Firm pyro

A teenager has appeared in court accused of striking a police officer with a lit pyrotechnic on the day of a Dundee United v Aberdeen match.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, made no plea in relation to allegations from October 8 this year.

He is accused of culpably and recklessly hurling a lit pyrotechnic outside a bar on Main Street in Dundee towards a “large crowd” and putting them in danger and at risk of injury.

The teenager, from Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire, also allegedly committed a breach of the peace by shouting, chanting and challenging people to fight.

He faces a third charge of hurling a lit pyrotechnic at PC Craig Burt, which struck him on the leg.

The boy made no plea and is due back at Dundee Sheriff Court on November 25.

Sheriff John Rafferty released him on standard bail, despite a Crown request to ban him from entering any football events while proceedings are active.

The New Firm fixture last month took place at Tannadice at 6pm and saw a bumper crowd attend to see United win 4-0.

Runaway groom

Groom Umar Ishad was caught speeding home from his wedding at 112mph. He was pulled over by police on the A90, just hours after tying the knot in Dundee. He was convicted of dangerous driving.

Drunk in car

A steel worker was nearly four times the drink-drive limit when he was found asleep at the wheel, parked on a Perth street.

Dumitru-Paul Ciobanu had gone to his wife’s car to collect a baby seat and while there, took a phone call from his parents.

It was cold, so he turned the engine on to keep warm and then started drinking.

When the 32-year-old was found by police, he was fast asleep and surrounded by drink cans.

Ciobanu, of the city’s Scott Street, appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and admitted being in charge of his partner’s Ford Fiesta with excess alcohol (86 mics) on Collinson View on February 8 last year.

Fiscal depute David Currie said concerned neighbours alerted police when they saw the stationary vehicle with its engine running in the early hours of the morning.

The prosecutor said the Crown accepted that Ciobanu had not driven the car and the vehicle may not have moved for several months.

Solicitor Jamie Baxter, defending, said his client had no intention of driving.

Sheriff Francis Gill deferred sentence until November 30.

Death crash driver

A man who killed a motorist after the trailer he was towing detached from his Land Rover and collided with her car has been told he will be jailed.

Mark McVay, from Dunfermline, failed to properly secure the trailer to his Land Rover before it uncoupled and crashed into Michelle Russell’s vehicle at Saline, in Fife.

Mark McVay will be sentenced later.

McVay, 56, was found guilty of causing the death of Ms Russell, 38, from Alva, by dangerously driving.

Michelle Russell was killed in the crash.

Dundee rapist guilty

A Dundee man with a “truly shocking” record of sexual assault offences is behind bars after being found guilty of raping and abusing a girl over a six-year period.

James Kidd, 28, started preying on his victim when she was aged just 12, in December 2010.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard how the abuse took place at locations in Fife including St Andrews and Methil and continued until July 2017 when Kidd raped the young woman.

He pled guilty to a charge of sexually assaulting the woman during proceedings.

The court heard Kidd has numerous convictions for sexual offences and had previously served jail time.

Judge Norman McFadyen deferred sentence until next month for reports and remanded Kidd.

He said: “You have, for a person of your age, a truly shocking record of sexual offences.

“Some of these offences include offences against children.”

Babestation breach

A Dundee man went on a racist rant after telling social workers about the women he had been watching on Babestation the night before. Mateusz Dolegowski later deliberately coughed on police and told social workers he could not wait to get out of jail so he could resume his drinking habit. He has been jailed.
