Fife man jailed for 30 months after sexually abusing two girls aged 12 and 13

Methil man Peter Freeley has been jailed for 30 months after sexually abuse two young school girls.

A Fife man who sexually abused two young schoolgirls at his house has been jailed for 30 months.

Peter Freeley was found guilty assaulting the 12 and 13-year-old girls following a trial at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

The 45-year-old targeted the first youngster between January and April 2016 while she lay on the couch in his living room on Methil Brae in Methil.

He repeatedly attempted to kiss the high school pupil before touching her “private parts” over her smiley face pyjamas.

The pervert was also convicted of abusing a second girl who was cognitively disabled and who had been a victim of sexual abuse before.

The attacks, which involved him groping her and forcing his tongue into her mouth, took place at the same address  between February 2016 and September 2017.

Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist QC told Freeley that his crimes were so serious that custody was the only viable option.

He said: “You exploited your position.”

Freeley was jailed for 30 months and added to the sex offenders register indefinitely.

The shocked pervert swayed in the dock as he was handcuffed by a G4S guard and led from the court.
