A Dundee musical duo will take to the virtual stage this weekend and unveil a new song.
Echo Beach, made up of Elaine Carlin and Paul McGregor, will perform via the Facebook group Jim the Janny’s Virtual Bar on Saturday, just a day after many physical pubs close because of strict coronavirus guidelines.
The duo have previously used their music to promote mental health with a 10-hour concert.
This weekend’s gig will be markedly shorter, at just one hour, but Elaine and Paul will debut their first original song. Previous shows have been made up entirely of covers.

On the new song, Paul said: “Elaine is the wordsmith and she came up with it quite spontaneously and sent it to me. I sat on it for a while and came up with a nice tune.
“It’s acoustic guitar and two vocals at the moment, but I can’t wait to get it recorded with some drums and all that.”
Echo Beach have been playing digital gigs on a fairly regular basis during lockdown across a number of social media groups, something that Paul believes is vital for musicians.
He added: “They were all set up and running by the end of April. It’s been very difficult trying to comprehend not actually getting out and playing your craft.
“This is giving us a way to keeping our hand in.
“We’ve got a lot of people watching every week regardless of where we broadcast, which is really nice.
“It gives some semblance of a live music scene.”
