Two men and a woman have been charged after hundreds of people descended on a Dundee street for a protest. Riot police were called to Ballindean Road on Friday night after large crowds gathered outside a block of flats. The incident began to unfold at around 5pm and went on for several hours. Ballindean Road was closed while officers dealt with the incident. Two men and a woman charged over protest incident A police spokesman said: “A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an incident in Ballindean Road, Dundee on Friday. “A 56-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman have also now been arrested in connection with the same incident on Friday. “They are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday. “Police inquiries are continuing into the incident. Second Dundee gathering under investigation “A report will be forwarded to the procurator fiscal.” A separate protest incident on Craigmore Street in Kirkton is also under investigation from police. Officers were called to that incident at around 8.30pm on Friday. A car was damaged and the window of a house was smashed.
