Police are continuing with their investigation after a man suffered injuries in a Fife street this afternoon.
Several police vehicle as well as paramedics rushed to the scene in Ballingry Road, Lochore after the alarm was raised.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 4.05 pm on Saturday, May 23, police attended a report of a man injured in Ballingry Road, Lochore, Lochgelly.
“He has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish how he came about his injuries.”
Police have not confirmed whether or not the injuries were stab wounds as has been by suggested by several eyewitnesses.
