Large police presence in Dalgety Bay after ‘disturbance’

Police descended on a street in Dalgety Bay after reports of a disturbance on Friday.

Witnesses report seeing “a fleet of police cars and vans” arriving on Chandlers Rise just before 11am on Friday.

One resident said: “I heard one set of sirens and then another, and they just kept on coming.

“It was like a fleet of police cars and vans racing into the road.

“I counted six, plus an ambulance also arrived a short time later.

“Some residents were out in the street while there was a lot of activity with officers going in and out of the house.

“It’s a very quiet street and certainly not the sort of thing I’d expect to see.”

Police and paramedics remained at the scene for more than an hour.

No injuries have been reported and no one has been arrested.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Chandlers Rise at around 10.50am on Friday.

“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
