An investigation has been launched into the conduct of a paramedic at the scene of a fatal Fife crash.

Emergency services were called to the A914 in Pickletillum, near Drumoig, on September 26 after a two-car collision.

Lisa Scott, 26, from Perth, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people travelling in the other vehicle were injured.

The Courier can now reveal that the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) is investigating one of its staff members after a complaint was made about their behaviour at the scene of the incident.

Investigation ongoing – Scottish Ambulance Service

The exact nature of the allegation against the paramedic has not been made public.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time and we are very sorry for their loss.

“We do not comment on individual cases.

“An investigation is ongoing and all our employees are managed strictly in line with SAS values and workforce policies.”

Following Ms Scott’s death, an announcement from Perth funeral directors James Carcary said: “Lisa will be so very much missed by her wider family, many friends, work colleagues and her faithful little companion, Millie-Moo.”

At the time, a spokesperson for Perth and Kinross Council said: “Our deepest sympathies are with Lisa’s family and friends at this very sad time.

“Lisa worked at Goodlyburn Nursery for six years and was a valued member of the nursery team there.”
