A cyclist has been involved in a serious head-on collision with a van on a country road in Fife.
The accident happened on the B937 road close to Giffordtown at around noon on Sunday.
Police and ambulance services, including an air ambulance crew, were called to the scene and the road was closed as paramedics attended to those involved.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Officers were alerted to a road traffic collision at 12.10pm on Sunday August 25 close to Giffordtown village where a male cyclist had been involved in an accident with a motorist.
“The road was closed and local diversions were put in place as emergency services continued at the scene.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or motorists with dashcam footage is urged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101 and quoting incident number 2017 of August 25.”
