Rescuers saved a young deer who became trapped by the incoming tide on the banks of the River Tay in Dundee on Monday.
The UK Coastguard were called to Riverside Drive after a fawn was spotted next to the watercourse.
The young deer is said to have been left trapped between the river and the roadside.
The coastguard enlisted the help of Dundee Airport’s fire and rescue team to bring the animal to “safe ground”.

A post from the UK Coastguard’s Dundee division reads: “Earlier today officers from Dundee were tasked to investigate a deer that may have become trapped with the incoming tide at Riverside Drive.
“With assistance from Dundee Airport’s fire service, a young fawn was located and escorted to safe ground.”
