Scarecrows have cropped up all over a Fife coastal village.
Elie’s annual scarecrow festival opened and saw straw figures in all types of guise erected in gardens, shop windows and other spots including the school playground.
Around 50 scarecrows will remain on display until Monday.
Creations include a spaceman, Scary Potter and Rio Olympics athletes.
The annual event attracts visitors from far and wide who can follow the scarecrow trail using a map on sale in local shops.
Funds raised will support Elie Fayre Day in July.
