Emergency services responded to an incident at Dollar Court, Dunfermline on Sunday night
Two pensioners were checked over by paramedics after a large fire took hold of a sheltered housing complex.
Emergency services raced to the scene in Dollar Court, Dunfermline, at around 8:50pm on Sunday after three separate building caught fire.
Locals reported seeing residents pulled from the windows of their bungalows as firefighters battled the flames which sent smoke billowing across the town.
Paramedics were quickly on the scene to check over two of the residents as a precautionary measure.
Reports of fire down near glen no other details yet
Kind-hearted neighbours offered blankets and cups of tea to the two stricken residents as they sat on chairs across the road from the affected building.
A spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted at 8:50pm to reports of a fire involving multiple properties at a block of sheltered housing in Dunfermline.
“Operations control mobilised a number of resources to the scene at Dollar Court where three single storey dwellings were alight.
“Two casualties were passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Firefighters extinguished the flames at 9:24pm and crews will remain at the scene until the area is made safe.”
