The coronavirus pandemic has forced music events in Perth to be cancelled.
Perth Salute and the International Youth Band Festival will no longer go ahead following the decision by Perth and Kinross Council.
This comes after the cancellation of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Tattoo.
The Council says it appreciates this is “disappointing” for those who have worked hard to organise the events but maintains it is the “right thing to do”.
Chief Executive Karen Reid said: “Over the past several years, Perth has made a name for itself as a city for friendly, family events, so it is with regret that we have to announce these cancellations.
“However, people’s safety must come first, and I know that both participants and audiences will understand the circumstances.
“For now, we must concentrate on working together to tackle the Coronavirus outbreak.
“I look forward to welcoming world-class events to Perth and Kinross again in the future.”
