A Perth taxi driver had to do a double take on Saturday, after thinking he spotted an escaped tiger.
Barry Smith, of Ace Taxis Perth Ltd, was on a job in Fairfield when he saw what appeared to be a large tiger sitting casually at the side of the road.
Brave Barry decided it would be best to get a better look, and as he drove closer to the beast he realised to his relief that it was a stuffed children’s toy.
His boss, Anddy Lothian, said that Barry came back to the depot in a state of bewilderment.
“It gave us all a good laugh,” he said.
“To be fair, when you first look at the photo it does look very realistic and I think our driver got a bit of a fright at first.
“I am glad there are no tigers roaming the streets of Perth.”
