SPONSORED: Stocking up for winter? Emulate royalty and order your fuel from Connon Brothers Coal & Oil

As the coldest months of the year threaten to envelop us once more, and our precious hours of daylight diminish before we’ve even had time to finish our tea, that yearning for a roaring coal fire providing feelings of warmth and comfort is, once again, a common household occurrence.

And here to deliver the necessary goods are Connon Brothers Coal and Oil. Delivering to households since 1973, these guys know a thing or two about fuel. They import the best available house coal on the market, including Columbian Doubles and Trebles, and can also offer high quality smokeless alternatives direct to your doorstep.

Not only are their products second to none, but the services they provide are extremely hard to beat. Office Manager, Russell Cannon, said: “We pride ourselves on our customer service, and have a modern fleet of delivery vehicles with HIAB cranes, allowing us to drop off pallet deliveries without causing disruption to you or your home.

“Rest assured we treat every customer like royalty, including the Queen herself, to whom we deliver our fine fuel at her Balmoral Estate.”

Originally delivering to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, Connon Brothers have since expanded their services to the entire country. Russell said: “We now carry out palletised deliveries in Tayside and Perthshire and have introduced deliveries in 50 kilograms and open sacks direct to our customers’ bunkers.

“We also venture north of Aberdeenshire, ensuring every household in Scotland, including those in more rural areas, has the capacity to keep their fires roaring this winter.”

While Connon Brothers has grown in capacity this year, 2020 has not come without its challenges. Just like every business across Scotland, they have had to adapt in light of Covid-19. Russell explained: “As we provide an essential service in supplying heating products, we have been required to operate straight through lockdown.

“When there was an initial lockdown in March, we had an extremely busy spell as people faced extended time stuck at home and the weather wasn’t looking too favourable.

“We have been continuing to competently tick away since then but the challenges do keep coming.

“We have had to make changes to the way we work to remain compliant with government guidelines, without lowering the great customer service we offer.”

Coal fires offer more than just heat, their flames emit warmth and comfort. But they do more than make you cosy. Burning fuel in an open fire or stove allows you to monitor and control the rate at which you burn through your supplies, and see clearly where and when you require more.

Coal fires offer a sense of comfort.

A coal fire also offers a quick and easy heat, with just a few logs and some Connon Brothers’ coal, on those brisk nights which don’t quite require the house’s full heating system to be switched on.

Connon Brothers are currently offering autumn deals for their valued customers, including £10 off a half tonne in 50kg bags and £20 off a full tonne in 50kg bags. They also have special pallet prices which include some bonus briquettes – free of charge.
