Brechin City looking for three wins in a row

Brechin City manager Darren Dods is looking for his side to bring consistency to the unpredictable nature of League one by beating visitors Airdrie tonight.

A third victory in a row for the Glebe Park men would put them back into the top four and be a rare hat-trick in a division that has become extremely unpredictable.

Dods said: “Apart from Livingston being out on their own this league is really volatile in terms of how things can change.

“It will be that way throughout the final quarter of games as well unless someone puts on a really strong run and hopefully that can be us.

“We were looking down the way a couple of weeks ago after going six games without a win and now we have the chance to go back into the top four.

“If you put together a run of wins in a league as tight as this then you will change the outlook of your season.

“We are now feeling very positive after our wins over Queen’s Park and Peterhead and want to build on that after beginning to look over our shoulder at the foot of the table.”

“However we recognise that Airdrie will be boosted by their win over Albion Rovers and will be very tough opponents.”

Dougie Hill and Finn Graham are doubts after picking up knocks in City’s 1-0 success at Balmoor on Saturday, with Alan Trouten set to remain sidelined due to a groin injury.

For Airdrie, Kyle Hutton is suspended after being dismissed at the weekend and Jordan McGregor is a doubt. Marc Fitzpatrick is out with a long term injury.
