Josh McPake has shown a “great attitude” after dropping out of the Dundee starting line-up, according to his manager.
Dens Park boss James McPake brought the teenager to the club in the summer and his loan deal is up in January.
The last start was in Dumfries at the end of September but the winger has amassed seven league appearances, the last of which was off the bench against Dundee United a fortnight ago.
“He’s young but he’s got a great attitude,” said McPake. “He’s always willing to learn.
“He’s started games and has experienced a derby.
“Will he be wanting to play more? Yeah.
“It will be up to Rangers to say whether what he’s been getting is enough for how they see him developing but he’s part of my squad and he’s there or thereabouts every weekend.”
Meanwhile, McPake reported that Jordan Marshall has trained all week and will be available for Saturday’s trip to Inverness – as will the rest of his outfield players.
“We had another bounce game on Friday against Hibs,” he said.
“Apart from the ones on international duty, it was basically their first team we played against. Those who needed topped up got more game-time.
“Jamie (Ness) and Meeks (Josh Meekings) were among those. They’re both at the level that they’re ready to go.
“Everybody is fully fit now apart from Jack (Hamilton). They’re all playing for their place in a team that needs to go on a run again.”
