Dundee’s new signing Danny Williams hopes that the “most exciting forward line in Scotland” will help him become a regular goalscorer for the Dark Blues next season.
The former Inverness man, who agreed a three-year deal before the end of the last campaign, said: “I am a forward player but I would say I have maybe not scored as many goals as I probably should have.
“I hope to change that with the move to Dundee.
“Dundee are a team who create chances. Maybe a few more will fall my way next season.”
The 28-year-old added: “The manager is known for his attacking style of play. The system he plays and the mentality of his team should suit me.
“The chance to play with the likes of Greg Stewart and Kane Hemmings is also a big pull.
“They also have Rory Loy and Gary Harkins. There is so much attacking talent in the squad.
“Dundee probably have the most exciting forward line in Scottish football at the moment and I can’t wait to be part of that.”
Getting a game for Dundee next season will be an achievement in itself, according to Williams.
“The competition for places in the midfield is going to be high next season,“ he admitted.
“That can only ever be healthy at a football club.
“I know I will not be able to just walk into the team.
“There is so much quality, I will need to prove my worth to the gaffer in the summer.”
