Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter is looking forward to locking horns with Dundee United tomorrow and finding out if new Tannadice manager Csaba Laszlo can remember him.

The Northern Irish side face the Tangerines in the quarter-final of the Irn-Bru Cup – Laszlo’s first game in charge following his appointment to the Championship club on Wednesday.

However Baxter already knows all about the Romanian’s managerial techniques.

The Hatchetmen’s manager explained: “I am looking forward to meeting Csaba again as he helped me when he was at Hearts and I was working towards a Uefa qualification eight years ago.

“I had to spend a week with a club outside of Northern Ireland and I went to Hearts when he was in charge then.

“We watched him in training sessions and spent an hour picking his brains ahead of a game against Aberdeen.

“I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to re-engaging with him. Hopefully he will remember me.”

Baxter added: “I thought at one stage I would be coming across my big pal Tommy Wright in this game but he is still at St Johnstone.

“However I have some inside information on how Casaba likes the game to be played and I am sure that will help us.”
