Gary Bollan wants his Cowdenbeath team to bounce back

Cowdenbeath manager Gary Bollan is looking for his side to bounce back from losing 2-0 to Edinburgh City last weekend by grabbing a win at Elgin this afternoon.

Bollan said: “I was really disappointed to lose last Saturday and not just because we could have moved off the foot of the table.

“I am disappointed as we were not under a lot of pressure in the game and we enjoyed loads of possession. However we never did enough with it.

“We did not show any penetration and that is what frustrates me the most as we had been getting a lot better in that side of the game over the past month.”

The Blue Brazil boss will be able to use Blair Malcolm, on loan from Ross County.

He said: “Blair was a big miss last weekend but we will have him for this game as he is over his hamstring problem. That is good news as we will need his competitive edge as Elgin will have a spring back in their step.

“They recovered from their 7-0 defeat from Peterhead in the best possible way by defeating Clyde last weekend. Borough Briggs is also a really tough venue so the more competitors that we have the better.”

Joe McGovern and Josh Morris are still out.
