A 60-year-old man has been charged with dangerous dog offences after a dog was allegedly mauled to death by another dog at an Angus beauty spot.
The incident happened at West Links in Arbroath yesterday at 9.30am.
The dog was taken to a local vet but had to be put down as a result of its injuries.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
It is understood the dog has now been seized following the incident.
