Huge crowds have turned out in Brechin to welcome the Queen’s Cortege to the Angus town.

Thousands lined the streets as the coffin was taken to Brechin Castle, where the procession took a 45-minute break on its route from Balmoral to Edinburgh.

Locals young and old came out to pay their final respects to the late monarch, following her death on Thursday.
