A man killed in an accident in Angus on Sunday night has been named.
Douglas Lawie, 47, of Inverurie, died when his motorbike collided with a BMW car on the A92, just north of Inverkeilor.
A brief statement released by police on behalf of his family read: “His partner, family, friends and colleagues are all devastated.”
Mr Lawie died at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following the 6pm accident.
The car driver was also taken to Ninewells to be treated for minor injuries and was later released.
Police closed the road for some time to complete investigations.
