Bosses at a Dundee firm have categorically dismissed a suggestion the confirmed Tayside coronavirus case is an employee and rejected claims staff were kept in the dark after the worker was sent home.
The employee is understood to have come in to work at Dover Fuelling Solutions last week having been in contact with family members recently returned from Italy.
They were self-quarantining in accordance with Foreign Office advice and upon learning of the contact bosses at the West Pitkerro industrial estate business reportedly sent the worker home.

A colleague subsequently claimed the worker had been advised not to tell other workers about the reason behind his absence.
The company firmly rejected the claims as “wholly inaccurate”.
A spokesperson added: “There is absolutely no truth in the report that the person suffering from coronavirus is an employee of the Dover Dundee manufacturing facility.”
