Part of a Dundee street was left blocked after a huge bus got stuck for two hours.
The Johnsons coach was travelling from Dunmore Drive on to Perth Road when its back end became “beached” on the slope.
According to onlookers, the bus remained stuck for about two hours before it was freed and parked at the side of the road.
Police were called to the scene and were directing traffic around the vehicle.
Passengers had to be transferred to another bus for their excursion.
One nearby resident said: “It was here for most of the morning.
“It must have been there from about 9.30am to 11.30am.
“The traffic wasn’t too bad but the police were called down.
“They were sort of guiding the traffic around it.”
Bus ‘completely stuck’
Julian Scott, a motorist who passed the coach, said: “[The driver] beached the rear end on the steep hill behind him and got completely stuck, wheels spinning in mid air.
“Most of the road was blocked.”
A police spokesperson added: “It was reported to us around 10.30am and officers attended to assist with traffic management.
“The road was cleared by 11.45am.”
A spokesman for Johnsons apologised to anyone inconvenienced by the block.
He added: “This was a most unfortunate event, for ourselves, our passengers and Dundee road users.
“The coach was stuck for about two hours and we had to hire a local coach operator to take our customers on their excursion.
“We operate holidays all over Britain and Europe and thankfully incidences of this nature are very rare indeed.”
