Thousands around Tayside and Fife fell silent on Sunday to remember the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces and their families.
Several events were held across the region as well as throughout the country to mark the annual occasion after two years of restrictions during the pandemic.
What took place in Dundee?
There was a parade from the High School down Reform Street and a two-minute silence at the Garden of Remembrance, St Mary’s Church Nethergate.
It was also marked at the Black Watch Memorial, The Law War Memorial, the submarine memorial, and the Frigate Unicorn.

What took place in Fife?
One of the largest events in Fife took place in Kirkcaldy but there were parades in Cupar, Glenrothes, St Andrew’s, and Tayport.
Wreaths were also laid in Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Methil and Inverkeithing.
Labour councillor Derek Noble, Fife Council’s armed forces champion, who served for 26 years with the Royal Artillery said: “I attended my first Remembrance Day parade at the age of five with my grandad and it’s a very, very poignant thing.”

What took place in Perth & Kinross?
There were no civic parades this year in Perth due to the ongoing construction works near the City Hall.
But the occasion was still marked with an event at St John’s Kirk and a military parade along Tay Street.
Other events took place at Kinross, Auchterarder, Blairgowrie, Comrie, Crieff, and Pitlochry.

What took place in Angus?
There were poignant events throughout Angus in Arbroath, Brechin, Carnoustie, Edzell, Forfar and Glamis.
They also took place in Kirriemuir, Letham, Montrose, and Monifieth.
