A Monifieth cat which disappeared more than three years ago has been reunited with his owner.
Cookie the cat was accidentally carried off in the back of a skip lorry to the town of Liff in 2014, and had not been sighted since.
Local social media page Missing Pets, Dundee and Angus shared pictures on Friday of a cat which had been handed in to the SSPCA in Peterden, who had been admitted to the vets with a bite injury.
Cookie’s owner, Lynne, recognised the cat in the pictures straight away, despite not having seen her beloved animal for such a long time.
Meanwhile, the search for beloved pooch Bella – who went missing on Balgay Hill in January – is still ongoing.
Sightings of the poor pooch have been reported as recently as the beginning of April, and a fundraising page has been set up to help Bella’s owners buy cameras and search equipment.
