A man was robbed in a house on Craigowan Road on Wednesday morning, by someone brandishing a weapon.
Police are currently carrying out inquiries after an incident in which a 52-year-old man was threatened with a weapon and robbed of a three-figure sum of money.
The victim was shaken as a result, but unharmed.
Officers are keen to trace a man who was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up, of stocky build and around 5ft 11in in height.
He is also described as wearing a brown tammy hat underneath the hood, with grey jogging bottoms which were inside out.
