One woman had to be cut free following a three vehicle crash on a busy Dundee road.
South Road was closed following the collision at noon, which caused traffic chaos in the area.
Firefighters and paramedics were also called to the scene, with the street closed to allow the removal of a passenger – understood to be a pregnant woman – from one of the cars due to difficulties opening the vehicle’s door.
It is understood the woman was conscious and unhurt.
A fire and rescue spokesman said two appliances were called to the scene from Macalpine Road and another from Blackness Road.
He added: “There was a three vehicle road traffic collision and there was one casualty trapped in the car, firefighters managed to rescue (her).
“Ambulance and police were in attendance. We were called at noon. The stop message was back at 12.23pm.”
A police spokesman said: “Fortunately no-one is seriously injured, but the road may be closed for some time.
“Please plan your route accordingly and we’ll let you know when it re-opens.
