Police are investigating a “serious” attack at a Broughty Ferry taxi rank.
A 55-year-old man was assaulted on Brook Street at about 2.30am on Sunday, June 2.
Two men, who are said to have jumped the queue, are being sought by police after allegedly punching their victim in the face and kicking him while he was on the ground.
He suffered injuries to his head.
One of the men being sought is described as white, in his 40s, stocky and dark-haired. He was wearing a dark, sleeveless, puffer-style jacket over a white shirt on the night and had a northern English accent.
The other man is described as white, in his 40s, of medium build and bald-headed. He was wearing a white shirt.
A police statement reads: “The area was still busy around this time with people heading home after their Saturday night out, and we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any part of what happened at the taxi rank.
“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/14139/19.”
