A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a woman in Methil.
The incidentĀ happened near Laird Avenue on Tuesday.

Police described the incident as a āterrifying ordealā for the victim, who was allegedly held at knifepoint and forced into an area of wasteland.
She eventually managed to escape and sought the help of two members of the public.
The young woman had been walking along Herriot Crescent and on to Kirkland Walk when a man approached her.
Police Scotland confirmed an arrest had been made and that detectives were continuing to investigate the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Scott Cunningham said: āAs part of this investigation we are keen to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity within the areas around Herriot Crescent, Kirkland Walk or the wasteland near Laird Avenue during Tuesday evening.ā
