Amazon, Dunfermline.
Amazon, Dunfermline.

NHS Fife has confirmed that a further 12 employees at Amazon’s Fife distribution centre have tested positive for Covid-19.

NHS Fife is providing an update after an additional 12 positive cases of COVID-19 linked to the Amazon Fulfilment Centre in Dunfermline.

That brings the total of individuals with links to the company’s Dunfermline Fulfillment Centre have that have now been confirmed as being positive for the virus to 15.

Health officials say all positive cases are experiencing mild symptoms and are isolating at home with other household members.

Contact tracers from the Test and Protect Team are in the process of identifying and tracing the known contacts of the positive cases to provide public health support and advice.

The NHS Fife Incident Management Team is currently investigating any potential link between the cases, however, thy say there is no evidence at this stage to suggest any wide-spread transmission of the virus amongst staff working at the facility.

Anyone who develops any of the established symptoms of the virus, such as a fever; or a loss or change in taste or smell; or a new and continuous cough, should arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal at:
