The final day of T in the Park 2016 opened with a moving tribute to David Bowie and Prince.
The Rogue Orchestra was booked to honour the two much-missed rock legends who died earlier this year.
The classically trained musicians, many with Bowie-inspired facepaint, opened the Main Stage on Sunday.
David Bowie was due to headline the event in 2004, but had to bow out because of a persistent shoulder injury.
That year’s line-up was projected on huge screens at the side of the stage during the midday set. Bowie was replaced as headliner by The Darkness.
T boss Geoff Ellis said he was inspired to book the orchestra after watching a clip of them performing Life on Mars at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
The gig opened with Purple Rain and continued with classical versions of some of Bowie’s best known songs.
Bowie died of cancer, aged 69, at his Manhattan home in January. The music world was left shaken again when Prince was found dead at his Paisley Park mansion in Minnesota.
