A Perth city centre road is down to one lane after a sinkhole appeared.
Part of the road surface on Canal Street, near the junction with Scott Street, collapsed on Tuesday.
The area has been sealed off with traffic cones while it awaits repairs.
Perth and Kinross Council says it is unrelated to a sinkhole that appeared on another city centre street – Caledonian Road – last month.
A Perth and Kinross Council spokesperson said: “A sinkhole appeared on Canal Street on Tuesday evening and the road has been reduced to one lane between Charles Street and Scott Street for the safety of vehicles.
“We are investigating what caused the sinkhole and repairs will be carried out as soon as possible.
“There is no connection to the sinkhole that was repaired on Caledonian Road last month.”
