Brechin hope to stretch their unbeaten run to a magnificent seven when they travel to the Locality Hub Bayview Stadium to face East Fife.
Indeed, this is a clash of two of Scotland’s in-form teams as the Fifers have won their last seven games, including last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Championship side Queen of the South in the Irn-Bru Cup.
City haven’t lost a match since August 18, albeit they have managed four draws in that time, and go into this toughest of trips across the Tay on the back of a morale-boosting away win over Airdrie.
Boss Darren Dods was in upbeat mood as he looked ahead to the game, saying: “This is a really good unbeaten run we are on and we are desperate to keep it going.
“I think what has helped us is being able to have stability in our team selection and that should be the case again.
“We have confidence and momentum just now, and you need those things going up against a very good East Fife side.
“I know we are in for a real challenge down there because I watched their game against Queen of the South and they played very well that day – they deserved to win.”
Fifers boss Darren Young, meanwhile, has taken note of City’s decent form.
“Brechin went to Airdrie in their last outing and came back from a goal down to win,” said Young.
“There is a lot of spirit in their team and we cannot just turn up and expect to win again.
“We have to keep working as hard as we have been.”
City have a full squad from which to choose with the exception of long-term absentee Dene Shields.
