Alex Jakubiak was on target once more as Dundee Reserves registered back-to-back wins.
The former Watford man struck twice last week away to Queen’s Park and found the net once more today at home to Ayr United.
The 1-0 victory at Whitton Park saw the Dark Blues second string move top of the Reserve League, leapfrogging the Honest Men in the process.
Once more Jakubiak was joined by a number of senior players.
Frozen out Niall McGinn started again alongside the likes of Shaun Byrne and Fin Robertson, both of whom have been out of favour this season.
Also getting game time were goalkeeper Harry Sharp, winger Lyall Cameron and central midfielder Ben Williamson.
How did the game go?
Jakubiak and Cameron both had efforts in the early stages before the latter was denied at point-blank range by Ayr goalie Derren Fairns.

Moments before the break the deadlock was broken as Cameron pressed the defence into an error before playing in Jakubiak to make it 1-0.
Williamson and Jack Wilkie had chances to double the lead before Ayr’s Fraser Bryden brought a sharp stop from Dee goalie Sharp.
Jakubiak would have further chances to add to his tally but there would be no more goals at Whitton Park.
