A man and a woman had to be cut free after their car was involved in a collision with a tractor in Angus on Monday.
The pair were taken to Ninewells Hospital following the incident on the A90 south of Brechin.
It happened just before 6pm near Balnabreich.
Emergency services including three fire crews were on the scene.
Cutting equipment used to free casualties
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 5.48pm that a car and a tractor had collided on the A90 just south of Brechin near to Balnabreich.
“We sent three appliances at the scene – two from Brechin and one from Forfar.
“Firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment freed a man and a woman who were trapped in their car following the crash.
“They were transferred to a waiting ambulance and taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
“We have no further details at this stage.”

Firefighters left the scene just before 7.40pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a tractor on the A90 near Brechin at around 5.45pm on Monday.
“Emergency services attended and the male driver and female passenger of the car were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
“The road was closed for around two-and-a-half hours and recovery was arranged.
“Inquiries into the crash are ongoing.”
