A woman punched another in the face at a Fife car show following a disagreement at a stall.

Wendy Allan attacked the woman after “abusive comments” were made at the event at Kennoway’s Cotlands Park.

Her solicitor David Bell said there had been previous incidents between the pair, including a “childish” exchange of social media messages.

Allan, 36, of Durris Drive, Glenrothes, admitted assault at Cotlands Park, Kennoway on April 4 2022.

Pleas of not guilty to damaging a mobile phone and kicking a dog in the head were accepted by the crown.

She was fined £150.

Pest at it again

An Angus sex pest walked into a total stranger’s home, asked to have sex with her and wet her 10-year-old daughter’s bed. Serial menace William Whyte, who is already on the Sex Offenders Register, also told an elderly woman at Arbroath Bus Station that she had a “fat a**e.”

William Whyte sexually harassed a paramedic before urinating in a Montrose park.

Case shelved

Court proceedings against a Perth pair accused of a vicious assault have been shelved.

Tracy McGregor and Bernard Whyte faced allegations they assaulted a woman at a flat in Rannoch Road on January 28 2022.

Prosecutors alleged McGregor, 39, and Whyte, 45, assaulted the woman by seizing her by the hair and repeatedly striking and scratching her on the head to her injury.

Whyte was further accused of maliciously throwing a mobile phone out of a window, onto a common close.

Both accused appeared at Perth Sheriff Court for trial but fiscal depute Andrew Harding confirmed the case would be deserted pro loco et tempore, meaning it has been halted but could be revived at a future date.

Lira thief

A serial thief who broke into a Perth house after stealing the owner’s jacket and keys has been jailed. Daniel Cahill, who was last month locked up for a raid on an ambulance, snatched handfuls of cash – including Turkish Lira – from the property in South Inch Terrace.

Drunk behind wheel again

A serial traffic offender has been banned again after being caught drunk at the wheel in Montrose while banned from driving.

36-year-old Jamie Laverty returned to the dock to admit being more than four times over the limit (96mics/ 22) when police stopped him on George Street on September 4 last year when he was already disqualified from driving and uninsured.

Solicitor Nick Markowski said: “It’s not his first drink driving charge.”

Sheriff Mark Thorley ordered reports and deferred sentencing.

At Forfar Sheriff Court, Laverty, of King Street in Ferryden, received another interim ban and will find out how long he will be disqualified at a hearing on July 20.

Fled for lives

A bloodstained knifeman forced children to use their scooters to flee for their lives. The boys, aged 13 and 14, feared they were going to be stabbed by Murray Prior when he pulled a pair of scissors on them in Tayport.

Murray Prior leaves Dundee Sheriff Court.

Footballer admonished

Former Dundee and Raith Rovers star Iain Davidson has left court without further punishment after injuring his ex-wife’s new partner during a “struggle”.

The 38-year-old was admonished after Kirkcaldy sheriff court heard he had been of good behaviour since being convicted in December.

Davidson, who now played last season for Cowdenbeath, had previously pled guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, aggravated by the fact it involved abuse of his former partner.
