Police have swooped on several properties in Dundee in a major drug bust.
Around six properties were raided this morning in the Lochee area in streets near to the multis at Elders Court.
It is understood various stashes of high-value drugs have been recovered.
The collaborative operation involved the CID, community investigation unit, and local response.
Locals reported seeing at least 10 police cars rush to South Road and Kirk Street at around 8am.
One man, who did not wish to be named, said: “It was a huge police presence. Hopefully it helps stop some of the drug problems.
“It’s getting really bad here. The heart is being ripped out of Lochee.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers have executed search warrants at a number of addresses in the Lochee area of Dundee today, Thursday September 10.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
The spokesperson said an update on any arrests and the value recovered will be released soon.
