Police are searching for a violent prisoner who has absconded from Castle Huntly prison after going missing in Perth on Monday.
David Arthur, 31, was on a temporary period of leave and was last seen in the Shore Road area at about 12.30pm on Monday.
He has family and associates in the Paisley area, with inquiries ongoing there and throughout the wider Glasgow region.
Arthur has previous convictions for violence – members of the public are warned not to approach him and should report sightings to police immediately on 101.
He is described as 5 foot 10 inches tall, blue eyes, of slim build with short black hair. His last known clothing is thought to be be a grey jumper and dark tracksuit bottoms.
