A leisure centre in Dunfermline was closed after users reported a chemical smell.
PoliceĀ and fire crews were called to the Carnegie Leisure Centre in Pilmuir Street shortly after 6am.
The road was closed while the incident was dealt with.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was being treated as a chemical incident.
However, a spokesman for Police Scotland said the leak was understood to be coming from a solar panel and did not pose a risk to the public.
He said: “We were called to the Carnegie leisure centre at around 6.05am. There was some sort of chemical smell and we attended along with the fire service.
“It appears to be a leak from a solar panel and there is no risk to the public as it’s a non-corrosive substance.”
That proved to be the case and Fife Sports and Leisure Trust said the centre would reopen at 1pm.
