Brechin manager Barry Smith knows his side face a Stranraer outfit that will refuse to lie down regardless of the scoreline.
However, that does mean City cannot win at Stair Park today.
The Blues looked down and out last weekend at East Fife when they fell 3-0 behind but rallied to rescue a point.
Smith is determined to use the game to start a move up the League 1 table.
He said: “Stranraer are obviously a side that has a lot of spirit in the ranks.
“To come down from three goals down away from home is a terrific achievement.
“That comes on the back of winning at Arbroath and defeating Forfar, so they have something about them.
“Their strikers need careful watching but it is not just about what they can do as we are improving.
“Results have not been great recently but I cannot fault the players at all for the effort they are putting in.”
A 2-1 defeat from Stenhousemuir last weekend left Brechin winless in their last four games and Smith is hoping that they receive better fortune this weekend.
He added: “Of course it was disappointing to lose at home but it was a combination of our mistakes and key decisions going against us that cost us the three points.
“Sean Burns scored what was a good goal that was chalked off and their penalty was soft.
“I would have shouted for it if it had happened in their box but that doesn’t change the fact that it was a soft award.
“Those two decisions changed the game and hopefully if things like that happen again, we will be on the right side of them.
“We have to just get on with things and do all we can to get a win on board.”
On-loan St Johnstone striker Callum Hendry is available again but defender Ryan McGeever remains out and striker Dene Shields is on the sidelines with a long-term knee injury.
