Blair Alston should be a St Johnstone player by the end of the day.
The Falkirk midfielder has agreed to join the Perth club on a two-year deal, with confirmation expected this afternoon when a medical is completed.
Tommy Wright has been a long-time admirer of Alston and stepped up his pursuit after Falkirk lost to Kilmarnock in the Premiership play-off final.
It is understood Alston has chosen Saints ahead of other top flight clubs.
