Day one of the 3D Festival, marking the opening weekend of V&A Dundee, came to a close in spectacular fashion.
The waterfront was brought to life by a captivating display of light, sound and visuals after a rip-roaring set by Scots rockers Primal Scream.
Thousands of people made their way to Slessor Gardens for the celebrations, with Lewis Capaldi and Dundee’s own Be Charlotte also delighting the crowd.
The festival will continue into Saturday with a day celebrating the city’s creative talent.
We spoke to some of the festival-goers as they arrived on Friday evening.
Al Fraser, 48, and son Findlay, 11, made their way to the event from Broughty Ferry.
Mr Fraser said: “(It’s) a once in a lifetime occasion to come down and join in with something that’s as amazing as this. We’ll be one of very little people that’s actually been here for the opening.”
Elizabeth Copp made the journey to Dundee from Keith, Moray, and met with niece Katie Bevan, 20, for the event.

Ms Copp, 67, said: “The V&A is my absolutely favourite museum in London. My mother-in-law and my husband were from Dundee so I’ve kind of seen Dundee changing, becoming more positive, with this very positive vibe, over the years.
“Suddenly it all changed. And the V&A I think is brilliant.”
Ms Bevan added: “It’s good to see the change and rise in Dundee.”
Dundee family Malcolm, Anne and Carla Paige attended the festival together – and said they were delighted to see how far their home city’s waterfront had come.
Mr Paige, 58, added: “We’ve been looking forward to the opening of the V&A for such a long time and it’s now finally here. We’re all Dundonains, it feels like the right place to be tonight.
“We’ve got tickets for tomorrow as well so we’re looking forward to the opening of the V&A tomorrow.”
