Police are investigating a robbery at an East Neuk baker’s shop.
Barnett’s Bakery in Pittenweem was targeted on Friday afternoon.
Police conducted inquiries in the village after the incident in the High Street branch of the Anstruther-based firm.
They also appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
A man wearing camouflage trousers and a hoodie entered the shop at around 2pm.
A spokeswoman for the firm said staff were shaken by the incident but unhurt.
She said: “You don’t expect something like that to happen.
“Everyone is fine, luckily.”
She urged anyone who could help the police enquiry to get in touch with them.
The shop was closed for the remainder of the afternoon as police launched their investigation.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We are carrying out enquiries after a shop was robbed in High Street, Pittenweem at 2pm this afternoon.”
Anyone with anyone information should contact Police Scotland on 101.
