A man will appear in court later on Wednesday after an alleged serious assault at a block of flats in Dunfermline on Tuesday evening.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed officers were attending the incident at a property on Broomhead Drive in the Fife city on Tuesday.
They say a man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries following the alleged assault, with a 41-year-old arrested.
One woman, who lives nearby, told The Courier a large number of police cars and an ambulance had been on the scene since before 9pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at Broomhead Drive in Dunfermline at around 8.20pm on Tuesday, 24 May, 2022.
“A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the serious assault of a man.
